Churches Together in Milton Keynes

We are a network of Christian communities in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. We are working together to show God’s love to the Borough and City of Milton Keynes.

Our current priority is to build a strong network of committed member congregations.

We have a particular concern with Poverty, Climate Justice, Refugees, Racial Justice and Mental Health.

First Email

Thank you for taking an interest in the future of Christian unity in Milton Keynes. This is the first email that we are sending out about Churches Together in Milton Keynes.

Our hope is that Churches Together in Milton Keynes (CTMK) will continue and expand the ecumenical journey in our city. We aim to be:

  • Focussed on Mission
  • Broader and More Inclusive
  • More Sustainable
  • Locally led.

This is a response to the review of the Mission Partnership which challenged us to "reboot and upgrade".

The members of the Mission Partnership voted to dissolve the existing charity on March 29th. We would have wanted a final celebration or farewell but have talked this through with those involved and it doesn't seem appropriate at this stage.

We have formed a small working group that is looking at the practicalities of forming a new charity, which will be required to support the establishment and running of CTMK. Work has begun, but it will be a long process. Nevertheless, we hope the charity will be in place by the autumn. We will be in touch as things develop and there will be many opportunities for you to share ideas and get involved.

In the meantime, keep praying that God's people may be one, as Christ himself prayed in John chapter 17.

Finally, the Mission Partnership web site will be closed in the next month or so. Updates will be posted on CTMK.church and there is a link to subscribe on that site. Please point people in that direction.

All the best,

The Working Group
