On Sunday 16th November the Church of the Servant King in Furzton, part of Watling Valley Ecumenical Partnership, welcomed our ecumenical leaders for the Milton Keynes Ecumenical Confirmation service.
The service was a joyful and celebratory event during which 7 Baptisms and 26 Confirmations took place. Bishop Dave Bull (Anglican), Revd Peter Sharrocks (Methodist), Revd Ruth Maxey (URC) and Pastor Ian Pearce (Baptist) were the confirming ministers and Revd Mike Morris, Revd Adedayo Adebiyi and Revd Kath Long from Watling Valley were the baptising ministers, by full immersion or font.
The smiles on the faces of those being baptised and confirmed said it all, and it was an occasion to remember as they took this momentous step in their journey of faith.
