This Volunteers Week (3rd - 9th June), you can join us in thanking the hard-working voluntary groups of Milton Keynes by coming to our Thank you Gathering on 5th June at MK Rose in Campbell Park, 10.30am - 12pm. There will be the opportunity to hear from those Milton Keynes groups that have received the Queen/ Kings Award for Voluntary Service, as well as dedicated time to say thank you to your volunteers and tie messages around the pillar!
This week will also see us hosting some bitesize information sessions for those organisations that manage volunteers, in order to inform Volunteering Best Practice. The sessions include:
- Effective Volunteer Recruitment and Retention - Monday 3rd June, 130 - 3pm
- Safeguarding Essentials for Volunteer Managers - Tuesday 4th June, 130 - 3pm
- Do-It: How to use the Do-It Volunteering Platform - Wednesday 5th June, 130 - 230pm
- Inclusive Volunteering: Equity, Diversity and Inclusion - Thursday 6th June, 130 - 3pm
- Dealing with Challenging situations involving volunteers - Friday 7th June, 130 - 3pm
